Before and Afters

Below are some before and afters we worked on around the house. Some projects were bigger than others!

New Kitchen paint colors will make anyone feel better.

"Mr. Contractor, Tear Down That Wall!"
and so he did...

Do you see me waving to you from the kitchen? Exactly my point. Aside from a poorly utlized corner cabinet that only the jolly green giant would be able to use, this wall really served no purpose other than blocking my view to our dinner guests. I lasted about 3 weeks in our new house until I could go no longer. I needed a room with a view. One phone call and exactly 48 hours later...

Powder Room
Our first "DIY" project in the house isn't too overwhelming. We have a powder room in need of an update and I have a goal of 4 weeks to get most of the work done. 4 weeks translates roughly into 8 weekend days. Minus Football Sundays, that gets me about 4 days of hard labor. GO!

At first I wasn't opposed to using wallpaper in our house for other rooms. But after stripping this down ourselves, I cannot imagine what would possess someone to consider it. I know wall paper is coming back - but unless you plan on leaving it up permanently or want to test the strength of your marriage, don't do it.
